Future of Work Project Team Work Sessions are in Place!

A diverse group of students from different programs (Construction Management, Engineering, Economy, Computer Science) and various levels of education (undergraduate to Ph.D.) are working together on processing, cleaning, and analyzing student and authentic Architecture, Engineering, and Construction project teams data. The students are supervised by Dr. Hanzhe Zhang (Assistant Professor of Economics) and Dr. Sinem Mollaoglu (Professor of Construction Management).

"It has been a challenge to facilitate the team integration in the last year due to the pandemic. Despite continuous efforts over zoom, we learned that nothing replaces the in-person experience. I feel like we started to restore some much-needed team spirit via our once-a-week in person teamwork sessions this semester." said Dr. Sinem.

"We are valuing in-person meetings much more than before the pandemic. Emails and Zoom lacked efficient and higher-quality responses and interactions that in-person meetings provided. In addition, in-person meetings help us get to know each other better and build personal bonds and trust in each other that will help our long-term team spirits and productivity." said Dr. Zhang.
