Sinem Mollaoglu, PhD, LEED AP, CGP

Dr. Sinem Mollaoglu is an applied scientist of project teams in the built environment workforce. She is an architectural engineer with expertise in sustainable construction.

Her work contributes to 'sustainable engineering project delivery and workforce through study of teams, multi-level systems, and human-technology partnerships.'

To date, she has brought about $3.5M in external funds from agencies including National Science Foundation, National Housing Endowment, National Academy of Sciences and International Partnering Institute.

Dr. Sinem's academic and industry engagements in leadership roles span local, state, and national/international levels and showcase her versatility and impact.

Leadership 

Dr. Sinem was the Program Director of MSU's Construction Management for over four years before transitioning to her current position in 2023 as the Faculty Excellence Advocate for MSU's College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR).

Dr. Sinem continues her engaged, community-based scholarly work through her appointments in research, teaching, and service; while, she consistently finds the greatest joy and influence in her work through connecting and collaborating with her interdisciplinary research team members, mentees, colleagues, and students.

Dr. Sinem is a mother of two. She is a U.S. citizen with Mediterranean descent. She believes busy hands bring calm and creativity to the mind. Her go to activities for such state are drawing, knitting, gardening, and kite-flying. One of her favorite quotes is by Adam Grant from Originals: How Nonconformists Move the World:
